“There's an old adage that states “there's nothing new under the sun" and nowhere is that truer than in the world of script reading. If you read scripts regularly for any length of time, you can't help but notice that there are certain concepts that tend to reappear over and over (and over and over and over) again. By the sixth or seventh hundred time through… you begin seriously considering the possibility that…it is actually some bizarre form of cosmic vengeance wreaked upon the heads of poor, lowly script readers by an angry, unforgiving god who once received a PASS on his buddy cop action spec."
